[Remote] NSF Accelerating Research Translation Program Director

The NSF Accelerating Research Translation Program Director will coordinate the delivery of a five-year NSF grant, support ART awardees and Tracks 1–4, lead education and community-building initiatives, and strengthen national research translation capacity. Responsibilities Liaison with the National Science Foundation to ensure quality delivery on a regular interval with the PI of the Grant, AUTM’s CEO; the Executive Committee for the Track 5 Grant; and the Steering Committee, which will include representatives from Tracks 1-4 Coordinate and maintain a strong relationship with the grantees for Track 1 and 2 – university and research institutions, aiding in accessing educational materials and program benefits Lead ongoing conversations (information-sharing among awardees; Trainings, and Community of Practice Discussions) with all Track 1-4 awardees and document progress towards the deliverables for the grant Support the usage of and field questions regarding the centralized portal that will host education, training, and virtual discussions Supervises a Program Coordinator Analysis and reports, as needed Other Duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree required 5-8 years' experience working for an association and/or in developing program content for meetings and educational training Understanding and having worked with a national government agency and/or grant funded organizations Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with staff and membership with a high level of diplomacy and effectiveness Innovative thinker with the ability to translate strategic thinking into actionable plans and results Experience creating, monitoring and managing budgets Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Degree in project management, communications, or related field a plus Advanced degrees, Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or CAE a plus Advanced degrees, Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or CAE a plus Benefits 100% Remote Office Paid time off Holidays Two weeks (80 hours) of sick leave accrued annually on a semi-monthly basis.
