Overview

Duties

• Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
• Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to guide team activities and ensure accuracy.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, overseeing contracts, scope of work, and adherence to project requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations; enforce safety protocols rigorously.
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist with procurement processes utilizing HeavyBid or equivalent estimating tools.
• Oversee quality control measures, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectations; perform blueprint reading and construction drawing review as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, safety logs, inspection records, and project schedules; utilize ProCore or Prolog for project tracking.
• Supervise the management of construction site activities including pipeline installation or heavy civil work; coordinate with engineers and project managers for schedule adjustments.
• Lead team meetings to communicate daily objectives, safety updates, and project progress; foster a collaborative team environment focused on excellence.

Skills

• Extensive experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management within port or industrial settings.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog or Primavera.
• Strong understanding of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and industry-specific standards.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to pipeline or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively—supervising crews, coordinating schedules, and ensuring high performance standards.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial oversight, client interactions, subcontractor coordination, and safety briefings.
• Experience with budgeting tools like HeavyBid; capable of managing project costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling practices; adept at adjusting plans for unforeseen delays or challenges.
• Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections when necessary.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
