About Us
Heavy Wall Consulting LLC is a multi-line industrial services business based in Long Beach, CA, doing approximately $250K/year in revenue. We work across equipment brokerage, business brokerage, recruiting/staffing, software sales, drafting services, and Amazon FBA. Multiple revenue streams and moving parts mean we need clean, reliable books, even at our size.
What We Need
A detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage and maintain our QuickBooks Online account on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities:
Categorize and reconcile monthly transactions across bank and credit card accounts
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Track income and expenses across multiple business lines (brokerage commissions, recruiting fees, software sales, product/FBA sales)
Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Reconcile Amazon Seller Central deposits and fees against QBO
Manage sales tax: track nexus/filing obligations, reconcile sales tax collected (including Amazon marketplace facilitator tax), prepare and file returns or coordinate filings across applicable states
Flag discrepancies and cash flow issues proactively
Prepare clean books for tax season, coordinate with our CPA as needed
Maintain a clear chart of accounts suited to a multi-revenue-stream business
Requirements
Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (certification a plus)
Experience bookkeeping for small businesses with multiple revenue streams
Comfortable with commission-based income, 1099 contractors, and e-commerce transactions
Working knowledge of multi-state sales tax compliance, including marketplace facilitator rules
Strong communication, responsive within 24-48 hours
Detail-oriented with a track record of clean, audit-ready books
U.S. business bookkeeping experience preferred (familiarity with U.S. tax categories)
Nice to Have
Experience with Amazon FBA seller accounting and sales tax nuances
Experience working with service-based/brokerage businesses
Experience with businesses in a similar revenue range (this is a lean, growing operation — not a full-time bookkeeping job)
